砂の女 | Woman in the Dunes

Designed in affection of the Japanese avant-garde movement and the literature legacy of Kōbō Abe, our pattern is a tribute to his cosmogonical novel "Woman in the Dunes".

Reflecting on the anxiety and urban turbulence, the pattern has alternative nature and might also look unceasingly positive by adjusting its focus to the abstract dune sands flow — giving the solution to relieve the stress. We see the design applicable for printing both as an artwork on its own and as a seamless tiling.
